A new Knoxville Wendy’s will offer free food and sport a new design at its grand opening event on Saturday August 3.
The restaurant, 400 Merchant Drive, will kick off its grand opening and grand opening at 9 a.m., according to a press release.
It had a smooth opening Tuesday and is owned and operated by JAE Restaurant Group, LLC, which has more than 230 Wendy’s branches in Tennessee, Florida, New Mexico and Texas.
Wendy’s free food for one year
Starting at 9 a.m., the first 200 patrons who dine at the new Wendy’s on August 3 will receive a free Wendy’s sandwich or salad every week for one year, according to the press release.
The event is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a free lunch and prizes.
The event will also feature local police and fire departments presenting a safety seminar and a fire truck on display from 10 a.m. to noon.
Tennessee Smokies mascot Homer Hound will be giving away free tickets to the Smokies game from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and guests will have a chance to win a 26-inch Coca-Cola bike.
New design from Wendy
Wendy’s location will feature “innovative interior and exterior design,” the statement said.
The interior will feature bright open-plan dining areas, guest cabins and lounge seating, and new Coca-ColaÂ® FreestyleÂ® self-service fountains with over 150 beverage options. They include sodas, sports drinks, lemonades, flavored waters and others.
âThis restaurant has bold appeal and features compelling interior and exterior design,â Eddie Rodriguez, chairman of the board of JAE Restaurant Group, LLC, said in the statement.
âIt’s very different from what our customers are used to, but we think they will really like the look and feel of the new Wendy’s. “
Another new Wendy’s restaurant with an updated design is slated to open this year, and other Wendy’s locations will be updated to have a more modern look later this year and beyond, according to Craig Madanick, director of marketing. for JAE Restaurant Group, LLC.
