INIFD students present at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week

New Delhi [India], October 11 (ANI / Target media): Student designers from the International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD), the largest network of design institutes, presented their designer collections at the INIFD Launchpad during the last day of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week, October 21.
INIFD is the only student body that gives its existing students the opportunity to showcase their designer collection at India’s most coveted and only official Fashion Week held in Mumbai.
While INIFD has presented the most sought-after show INIFD Gennext at Lakme Fashion Week for 30 seasons and now for 6 seasons, INIFD offers its designer students a direct chance to present from their classroom desks to the ramps of the prestigious Lakme. Fashion Week while sharing the same ramp with top designers like Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Manish Arora, TarunTahiliani & Anita Dongre to name a few.
The 5 INIFD student designers unveiled their stunning designer collections at the INIFD Launchpad on Sunday, the last day of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week: Neel Patel & Rukaiya Jariwala from INIFD Surat, Dipika Bhakat from the INIFD Kolkata Salt Lake, Zainab MubinKamle from INIFD Pune Kondhwa, Nupur Jani from INIFD Mumbai Andheri, PrernaTamrakar from INIFD New Delhi West.
Anil Khosla, Global CEO of INIFD, introduced these aspiring student designers to the media after the show.
Khosla said: “INIFD is the only fashion design institute in the world that gives its existing students the chance to showcase their collections during 3 world famous official fashion weeks including Lakme Fashion Week in India, London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week straight from their classrooms. “

Student designer Neel & Rukaiya, Label Fehmi X Priyanshi, presented his collection inspired by mehndi and its stain on a fabric which, by chance, turned into a beautiful design. Student designer Dipika Bhakat, the Label Dipika Bhakat collection is entirely dedicated to her SAFAR, a trip to Calcutta describing the architectural glory and aesthetics of Calcutta. Student designer Zainab MubinKamle, Label Zainabs, presented a sustainable collection inspired by travel with rustic heritage crafts imbued with Kumaoni Ritualistic ‘Aipan Artwork’ ‘Geru’ series.
Student Designer Nupur Jani, Label NUPUR JANI presented a collection of high fashion winter streetwear as well as rain jackets inspired by Golas. Student designer PrernaTamrakar, Label Manobha presented the collection with a reversible and convertible concept with the conviction that it is the best solution for the consumption of time (more and less).
The final selection of INIFD designer students to be presented at the INIFD Launchpad, Lakme Fashion Week, was made during the “Design Festival”. The Design Festival is a unique and exclusive platform of INIFD, where prominent members of the jury select INIFD students in fashion and interior design, pan India, for direct entry to be presented at Lakme Fashion Week.
These 5 designer students were selected from over 5000 applications received from INIFD students in India, RISE Worldwide selected one student each from 75 INIFD premium centers in India. A jury made up of top designers like Raghavendra Rathore, Leena Singh, AnavilaMisra, Suneeta Shanker, KH Radharaman, media chiefs like Shefalee Vasudev and TV and OTT personality Neeraj Gaba selected a winner from each area who has then prepared by design experts – Daniel Franklin & Neeraj Gaba to showcase their breathtaking collections at FDCI’s most sought-after show x Lakme Fashion Week – The INIFD Launchpad.
These INIFD designer students are fortunate to have learned the art of fashion and design techniques at INIFD under the knowledgeable mentorship of names like Manish Malhotra, Ashley Rebello and Twinkle Khanna.
